Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a growing international organisation in the recruitment of a Qualified Reporting Accountant to join their established finance team based in Warrington. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to develop their career within a large, complex business environment. The role offers exposure to external reporting, statutory compliance, audit processes and technical accounting, whilst working alongside a supportive and collaborative finance function.
The Role
- As a Qualified Reporting Accountant, you'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality financial reporting activities across the business.
- Supporting group and statutory audit processes, including preparing audit information and responding to auditor queries.
- Assisting with the preparation and submission of VAT and CIS returns.
- Preparing monthly regulatory and statistical reporting requirements.
- Supporting external reporting activities and ensuring compliance with reporting deadlines.
- Assisting with technical accounting and financial reporting queries.
- Building strong working relationships with stakeholders across finance and the wider business.
- Supporting process improvements and ad-hoc finance projects as required.
- Mentoring and sharing knowledge with junior team members.
About You
- We're keen to speak with qualified accountants who enjoy working in a technical reporting environment and are looking for a varied role with excellent development opportunities.
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
- Experience within financial reporting, statutory accounts preparation or financial accounting.
- Previous involvement with internal and/or external audit processes.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
- Excellent Excel skills and confidence working with large volumes of data.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships.
- A proactive approach and the ability to manage competing priorities.
