Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a well-established professional services organisation who are seeking to appoint an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a full-time permanent basis in Chester.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and supportive finance function, taking responsibility for a varied role across purchase ledger, accounts administration and financial processing activities.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of the finance department, ensuring accuracy, compliance and consistency across financial processes.

Job
Duties: Process purchase ledger invoices, including inputting, coding, scanning and reconciliation.
Prepare weekly payment runs and liaise with suppliers where required.
Manage employee expenses and company credit card transactions.
Reconcile purchase ledger accounts on a regular basis.
Investigate and resolve unmatched invoices, credits and payments.
Assist with month-end purchase ledger reconciliations.
Support wider finance activities and provide cover for colleagues when required.
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure transactions are processed efficiently.

Experience: Previous experience within a purchase ledger, accounts assistant or finance administration role.
Strong numeracy skills with excellent attention to detail.
Experience reconciling accounts and processing high volumes of transactions.
Proactive and self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently.
Professional and confident communication skills.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Good IT literacy, including confident use of Microsoft Excel.
