Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a growing, UK-based manufacturing organisation who are seeking to appoint an experienced Financial Controller to join the team on an initial 3-6 month contract (temp-to-perm opportunity). Based in the North West, you will work a hybrid model. This opportunity is ideal for an immediately available Finance professional with strong manufacturing experience, looking for a role with long-term potential.

Salary/benefits: £65,000-£70,000 (pro rata / equivalent) Flexible working - hybrid model available

Job Duties:

  • Oversee accounts payable and sales processing, supervising 1 member of staff
  • Full production of monthly management accounts pack with detailed commentary
  • Provide analysis of month-end reporting, including variance analysis
  • Take ownership of the costing model, ensuring accuracy and continuous improvement
  • Analyse profit margins by customer and product line
  • Manage invoice discounting processes and cash management activities
  • Produce robust cashflow forecasting
  • Provide financial and stock control support to senior leadership team
  • Mentor and develop junior team members in accounting best practices

Who will I report in to? Finance Director

When will interviews be taking place? Interviews will be happening as soon as possible

Ideal experience:

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified (or Qualified by Experience)
  • Previous Financial Controller or senior finance experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM), MRP systems and margin analysis
  • Experience with Sage 200 and ideally Sicon Manufacturing (or similar integrated MRP systems)
  • Working knowledge of Business Intelligence tools advantageous
  • Strong Excel skills with the ability to manipulate large data sets
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Well organised with the ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
