We're working with a forward-thinking organisation that's looking to add an Assistant Management Accountant to their growing Finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build strong management accounting experience within a supportive and commercially focused environment.
Reporting into an experienced Management Accountant, you'll play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, while working closely with budget holders across the business to support informed decision-making.
The Role
- Producing monthly management accounts and detailed variance analysis
- Supporting budget holders through regular financial planning meetings, providing clear and insightful commentary
- Assisting with the annual budgeting process and contributing to quarterly Board reporting
- Managing balance sheet reconciliations and supporting ongoing process improvements
- Providing financial advice, support and training to service and cost centre managers
- Preparing performance statistics and ad-hoc financial reports
- Ensuring external financial returns are completed accurately and on time
- Deputising for senior finance team members when required
About You
- AAT/CIMA/ACCA qualification
- A solid understanding of core accounting principles
- Experience producing financial reports and providing meaningful analysis
- The ability to work collaboratively and take ownership of outcomes
- Exposure to governance, financial compliance and risk management
- A full UK driving licence (essential due to travel requirements)
