Accountable Recruitment are pleased to be working with our client who are a high-growth, internationally operating manufacturing business; now seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner to support one of its key divisions. This is a highly visible, commercial role offering significant exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to directly influence commercial decision‑making. You’ll act as a trusted advisor to the Executive and Commercial teams, driving financial performance through robust insight, challenge, and continuous improvement of reporting and processes.

Business Partnering & Commercial Insight

  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, providing meaningful financial insight and challenge
  • Support strategic decision‑making through high‑quality analysis and commentary
  • Act as the primary finance contact for the division and wider group
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with group timelines
  • Deliver detailed reporting packs (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, variance analysis)
  • Ensure management accounts accurately reflect trading performance
  • Produce weekly cashflow forecasts and track financial performance

Performance & Controls

  • Monitor KPIs, highlighting risks and opportunities to senior stakeholders
  • Ensure robust controls across accruals, prepayments, and provisions
  • Liaise with Group Finance team to support month‑end close processes, ensuring deadlines are consistently met

Process Improvement & Projects

  • Drive continuous improvement in reporting, systems, and data presentation
  • Lead or support finance‑led projects and process enhancements
  • Utilise Excel and PowerPoint to enhance reporting clarity and impact

Stakeholder & External Engagement

  • Collaborate cross‑functionally across the business
  • Liaise with external parties where required (e.g. banks, regulatory bodies)

Key Skills

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
  • Proven experience working in a fast‑paced commercial role or experienced in a broad accounting role within a growing SME environment – now looking to develop more into a full commercial role
  • Track record of influencing senior stakeholders and driving change
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to challenge and influence
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving capabilities
  • Confident communicator with high attention to detail
  • Highly organised, able to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems preferred
