Finance Director (Fixed-term 6–12 months) – Manchester
Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a key client in Manchester who are seeking to appoint an experienced Finance Director to join the business on a 6‑12 month fixed‑term contract. Based in Manchester, you will work a hybrid model with 3 days per week in the office.
This opportunity is ideal for a commercially focused Finance Director with strong manufacturing experience, who has a proven track record of supporting a successful business sale and delivering transformation. You will play a key role in supporting the leadership team through a period of change, driving performance and preparing the business for a profitable exit.
Salary / Benefits

Job Duties
- Advise senior leadership on financial strategy and key decision making
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis activities
- Oversee accurate and timely financial reporting
- Manage financial risks and ensure regulatory compliance
- Monitor cash flow, profitability, and business performance
- Drive cost‑efficiency initiatives and process improvements
- Lead ERP reporting improvements and enhance visibility of commercial data
- Partner closely with the management team to support growth and transformation
- Manage, mentor, and develop the finance team

Ideal Experience
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
- Proven experience as a Finance Director within manufacturing
- Track record of supporting a successful business sale / exit

- Excellent commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, evolving environment
