A high-growth, multi-entity business is looking to appoint a qualified Senior Accountant to support its expanding finance function. This is an excellent opportunity for a practice-trained accountant - particularly someone moving from a mid-tier audit firm with experience managing a large client portfolio - to step into a broad, commercially focused industry role with real progression potential.
The business has experienced strong growth in recent years and is evolving its finance structure to support a growing client base and group complexity. This role sits at the heart of the finance team, combining technical accounting, client reporting, and operational finance responsibilities. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across finance and operations, gaining exposure to board-level reporting and playing a key role in improving financial processes and controls.
Key Responsibilities- Preparation and review of management and statutory accounts across multiple entities
- Managing a portfolio of client accounts
- Production of quarterly and year-end financial statements
- Delivering accurate and timely financial reports for client and board meetings
- Supporting cash flow management and project funding reporting
- Overseeing billing processes and service charge reconciliations
- Managing AR/AP processes and vendor payments
- Acting as a key point of contact for client queries and financial matters
- Supporting offshore entities (non-audit environment) within the group structure
- Driving improvements in systems, controls, and reporting processes
- Providing guidance and support to junior team members
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Ideally trained within a mid-tier or Top 20 practice
- Experience managing a large audit/client portfolio, with exposure to multiple entities
- Strong technical accounting skills and experience producing full sets of accounts
- Confident communicator, comfortable working with clients and senior stakeholders
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities
