We’re working on behalf of a highly successful construction company who are seeking a new Financial Accountant to join their team. Working closely with the Director and the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for a variety of duties for multiple entities, such as:
- Recording financial transactions
- Provision of timely, accurate and useful financial information
- Preparing budgets and monitoring
- Preparation & submission of VAT, CIS etc.
- Maintaining staff payroll
- Preparing cash forecasts and models using spreadsheets
- Producing bank reconciliation statements
- Maintaining and optimising insurance policies
- Maintaining asset register
- Ensuring efficiency of accounting policies and procedures to facilitate smooth running of the accounts department
- Overseeing junior members of staff, ensuring accuracy in work and answering queries
You will need to be a highly motivated, hands-on Accountant, preferably qualified to CIMA or ACCA / ACA level, but potentially could consider those QBE / Part Qual. Any experience within a construction background would be useful. Experience of Sage and Quickbooks, as well as Excel, would be ideal.
