Our client is a highly professional business within the ecommerce sector, who are looking for a new Assistant Accountant to join them on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Double entry bookkeeping using Xero software
- Bank / credit card reconciliation
- Entering a high volume of transactions onto software
- Assisting the Finance Manager with month end duties
- Undertaking payment runs, ensuring payments are authorised
- Assisting with VAT returns
- Working with multiple currencies
The company are looking for someone to work circa 22-25 hours per week and can be flexible regarding how these are spread across the week, however hours must be done within core business hours Mon-Fri 8am-6pm. There is opportunity to work remotely for the majority of this role, with some meeting attendance. You will need strong double-entry bookkeeping knowledge, with a strong understanding of Xero software.
