Mission description

You are in charge of operational value creation by supporting hotel GM’s in their role of employer and by challenging and controlling hotels performances delivered under the supervision of the management company AccorHotels.

You will oversee a designated hotel portfolio of hotels within the UK and report directly to the Head of Portfolio Management / COO of Western Europe.

Main Responsibilities:

– value creation for the designated hotel portfolio by stimulating operational excellence

– employer representative for GM’s and hotel employees

– Ensuring the right implementation of the Hotel Management Agreement with AccorHotels

– pro-active cultivation of the relationship between AccorInvest and AccorHotels by advancing communication between AccorInvest, AccorHotels' operational teams and the general manager through regular meetings (monthly or quarterly, as needed)

– ongoing coordination with the hotel's management on topics relating to performance of the hotel as well as the property (renovation, capex), especially during monthly or quarterly meetings

– working with internal stakeholders (Technical Services, Legal, Finance, Asset Management etc.) in implementing the strategy and creating a shared understanding of the objectives and concerned areas

– ensuring the proper fulfilment of the hotel management agreement within the portfolio

approval of annual operating budget as proposed by the hotel's management (turnover, GOP, IBNOIE, EBITDA etc.)

– managing and coordinating performance assessments together with AccorHotels representatives and observing the operator's performance at the hotels that are part of the area of responsibility

– reconciling the profiles and skills of the hotels' managements with the requirements of the respective hotels (in cooperation with AccorHotels' regional HR teams)

– submission of proposals for a portfolio management strategy and its implementation for the hotel portfolio

– overseeing the integration of newly acquired hotels in collaboration with the manager's representative and/or overseeing operational handover of sold hotels..

PROFILE

  • Master/MBA in Hotel Management or Finance/ Real Estate/ Law or similar
  • experience within Technical Services, Legal, Finance or hotel operations
  • operational hotel business know-how or know-how within hotel real estate beneficial
  • fluent English; French, or Dutch language skills beneficial
  • profound knowledge of general Corporate Finance basics (P&L, analytics, cashflow, etc.)
  • ability to push projects and advance the collaboration between various stakeholders
  • persuasiveness, influencing and negotiation skills
  • living in London area or willing to move is a must
