The Mercure & Ibis London Earls Court hotel is a newly renovated property in Southwest London, comprising a total of 508 keys across two distinct brands within Accor, Mercure & Ibis. The London Suite is the main ballroom for all types of events, extremely versatile and plays a pivotal role in the property’s overall performance. It is divisible into nine separate meeting rooms, which can accommodate up to 1,200 guests. The F&B outlets in the property have been created by PARIS SOCIETY, with Barnaby’s being perfect for social events.

The Sales Executive – Social Events & MICE is responsible for proactively developing new business opportunities across social events, private events, Barnaby's activations, MICE, agencies, associations, residential meetings and event-led opportunities. The role focuses on generating new revenue for the Hotel by securing new business, developing existing accounts and promoting Barnaby's as a destination for private hire, networking events, celebrations, brand activations and social gatherings.

Guest Centric

  • Present a professional, friendly and efficient impression of the Hotel at all times.
  • Ensure that all tasks relating to guest comfort and satisfaction are treated with utmost priority.
  • Establish positive working relationships with guests, visitors and colleagues.
  • Contribute to guest satisfaction by providing high-quality personalised service throughout the guest journey.
  • Assist with resolving guest feedback and enquiries in a professional manner.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of the Hotel's facilities, services, events and the local area.

Sales & Business Development

  • Proactively identify, develop and convert new business opportunities across various sectors.
  • Generate new private and social event enquiries for Barnaby's and the wider Hotel.
  • Develop Barnaby's as a destination for private hire and social gatherings.
  • Create and convert social event opportunities including birthdays, weddings, charity events, and more.
  • Maximise accommodation room sales and incremental revenue across Food & Beverage.
  • Achieve agreed sales targets and key performance indicators.
  • Manage an agreed portfolio of accounts to retain existing business and develop new revenue opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with agencies, DMCs, associations, and local businesses.
  • Support the promotion of Barnaby's through local partnerships and campaigns.

Account Management & Sales Administration

  • Work closely with the Corporate & Strategic Accounts Manager to identify and convert opportunities.
  • Conduct client appointments, site inspections, and follow-up activity.
  • Attend and assist with familiarisation trips, client hospitality events, and promotional activities.
  • Produce accurate reports detailing sales activity and business opportunities.
  • Update and maintain sales contact lists and CRM systems.
  • Conduct market research and identify new business opportunities.
  • Maintain awareness of the Hotel's financial performance and market trends.
  • Attend weekly and monthly Sales meetings and undertake sales trips as required.
