Job Description
As our next Night Porter, you…
- Are the ‘face of the Mercure White Hart Salisbury’, extending a warm welcome to our guests during the night, putting their well-being at the heart of everything you do, while adding your personal touch to their stay.
- Assist in the general running of the hotel at night and support other departments to set up for the next day.
- Are an autonomous and passionate individual, dedicated to continuously improving the quality of the hotel's services.
- Undertake PMS end of day procedures and hotel safety checks to make sure everyone in our hotel is safe and looked after.
- You should be confident in all aspects of guest relations, receiving and recognising all guests including those who require special attention.
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
- Previous night porter experience or hotel host experience (desirable)
- Customer service experience and working with the public (desirable)
- Ability to work alone throughout the night
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to use your initiative and to follow written / verbal instructions
- Knowledge of food safety & hygiene
- Knowledge of general health & safety procedures
