Your purpose will be to carry out all required duties within the Back of House department and ensure 5-star safety and hygiene standards are maintained. You will be accountable for:
- Upholding good housekeeping standards to ensure a safe, clean and pleasant working environment.
- Complying with all Health and Safety at Work regulations, ensuring attendance at all training sessions provided.
- Maintaining personal hygiene and grooming standards consistently.
Your key responsibilities & contribution will be:
- Assisting in the preparation of operating equipment for functions, inventories and other requirements.
- Washing and polishing all operating equipment and cooking utensils, examining cleanliness before distribution.
- Emptying bins and clearing and sorting refuse according to hotel policy.
- Thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting all areas related to refuse when required.
- Washing, disinfecting, degreasing, drying and polishing all floor surfaces, walls, kitchen equipment and other equipment before, during and after each meal service.
- Assisting with the cleaning of operating equipment during banquet functions or at peak periods in back-of-house areas.
- Maintaining staff facilities clean including locker rooms.
What you will need to do in this role:
- 1-3 years’ experience in the Hospitality Industry.
- Intermediate communication skills, both written & verbal.
- Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Proven organizational skills, able to set and meet deadlines with quality results.
- Enthusiastic and positive personality with the ability to build trusting relationships.
- Willing to work on rotating shifts including weekends and public holidays.
- A confident & dynamic speaker, able to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization.
