We're on the lookout for a Senior Finance Assistant to join our team. You will be responsible for supporting the Director of Finance in all aspects of the work and contribute to the smooth running of the finance operations on a day-to-day basis.
What you’ll do…
- Prepare, review and upload accurate financial information (including daily revenue) in line with company standards.
- Perform daily reconciliations (revenue, VAT, bank, balance sheet, loyalty schemes) and investigate variances.
- Support core finance functions (Income Audit, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable), including expense monitoring and cost optimisation.
- Manage finance operations tasks, including the accounts inbox, PM account monitoring, and PMS transaction mapping/configuration.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and month-end/year-end close processes.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, PCI DSS requirements, and standard operating procedures, driving continuous improvement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to gather financial data and support business decision-making.
- Support the Director of Finance, deputising when required, and provide training and guidance to the Finance Assistant.
- Assist with audit preparation and provide required documentation.
What we’re looking for…
- Proven Experience as a Finance Assistant in hospitality industry.
- Knowledge of Opera Cloud and SunSystems is preferable.
- Good knowledge and experience of MS Office applications including Excel.
- Good understanding of accounting principles.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to maintain accuracy and precision in financial records.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, this role requires collaboration with colleagues from various departments.
- The ability to identify financial issues, analyse root causes, and propose a solution.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines.
