Job Description

SCOPE OF POSITION

As Food and Beverage Floor Supervisor you will oversee all aspects of the food and beverage operations, ensuring high-quality service, customer satisfaction, and compliance with health and safety regulations.

This role involves managing staff, coordinating schedules, monitoring inventory, and maintaining quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Schedule shifts and assign duties to ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations to team members.
  • Foster a positive work environment and resolve any conflicts or issues that arise.
  • Directly supervise breakfast service staff, including servers, kitchen staff, and support personnel.
  • Ensure that breakfast offerings are varied, high-quality, and align with the establishment's brand standards.
  • Monitor food trends and guest feedback to continuously improve and update breakfast menu offerings.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained at all times.
  • Address customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction levels and implement improvements as necessary.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the food and beverage outlets.
  • Address any issues or concerns related to food safety or sanitation.
  • Assist in budget planning and cost control measures.
  • Monitor expenses and revenue, and take corrective actions as necessary.
  • Identify opportunities to increase sales and improve profitability.

Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory experience within a Food & Beverage environment, preferably in a luxury hotel, restaurant, or hospitality setting.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, health & safety, and hygiene standards, with relevant certifications being advantageous (e. g., Food Safety Level 2 or 3).
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop team members.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally and maintain high service standards.
  • Good organisational and administrative skills, including experience with rota management, payroll systems, stock control, and budget awareness.
