Your purpose will be to work with a brigade of talented chefs to produce 5-star quality food for our guests, assisting with any training needs, controlling the section, and ensuring smooth running while maintaining The Savoy standards.
You will be accountable for:
- Ensuring that the uniform provided is kept clean, presentable, and in good condition.
- Co-ordinating all team members to ensure cohesive performance.
- Checking and supervising all aspects of the kitchen.
- Working closely with Sous chefs on day-to-day matters.
- Communicating and understanding all information relating to bookings and movements.
- Supervising and demonstrating cooking methods for all outlets when required.
- Ensuring proper handling of all food items in accordance with health and hygiene procedures.
- Participating in training programmes.
- Considering the availability of all raw food items and ordering accordingly.
- Carrying out any external duties such as special events, promotions, and demonstrations.
- Complying with safe working practices as laid down under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
- Being aware of and complying with Food Acts.
What you will need to do this role:
- 3-5 years’ experience in the Hospitality Industry.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A confident and dynamic speaker, able to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of an organization.
- Enthusiastic and positive personality with the ability to build trusting relationships.
- Proven organizational skills, able to set and meet deadlines with quality results.
- Applicable job-related skills as per Accountable Duties.
