Your purpose will be: Working with the Director of Finance, we are seeking an Assistant Director of Finance who will be responsible for the preparation of monthly month-end journals for posting, maintain fixed asset register, details of balance sheet schedules and bank reconciliation.

Job Description
  • Prepare balance sheet account reconciliation schedules
  • Prepare bank reconciliation
  • Provide timely & accurate financial information to management
  • Prepare quarterly GST reports
  • Prepare governmental survey reports
  • Prepare General Ledger journal postings for month-end closing, including prepayments, provisions, allocations, memo accounts etc
  • Maintain & upkeep Fixed Assets Register
  • Monitor new Fixed Assets purchases in compliance with hotel requirements & approved budget
  • Manage the review and commitment of payroll
Qualifications
  • Diploma in Accounting / Finance, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar capacity, within a mid-scale luxury hospitality environment, preferably within an international hotel brand
  • Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and relevant accounting systems or equivalent experience
  • Relevant experience in a similar capacity within a hotel or facilities management environment
  • Highly organized and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain strong attention to detail
  • Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor consistent with brand standards
