Job Description
As a Duty Manager, you will:
- Act as the go-to leader onsite, ensuring smooth daily operations
- Be present in public areas, leading by example and resolving guest issues promptly
- Supervise the shift and support all departments, especially Reception, F&B, and Housekeeping coordination
- Support the team in busy periods, helping with check-ins, breakfast service, bar operations or back-office tasks
- Lead and motivate the team to deliver exceptional service
- Monitor guest feedback and handle escalations with professionalism
- Ensure safety, cleanliness, and service standards are maintained
- Be part of the Duty Management rota, including early, late and weekend shifts
Qualifications
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in a hotel Front Office or F&B role, ideally in a supervisory or team leader capacity
- Is confident, approachable, and hands-on
- Can multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Is tech-savvy and familiar with hotel systems (Opera Cloud experience is a bonus)
- Understands the basics of health & safety and GDPR procedures
- Has strong communication skills and is fluent in English (other languages are a plus)
- Has the right to work in the UK and is flexible to work different shifts based on business needs
