The Hotel Sales Manager plays a crucial role in driving the revenue of the hotel by leading the sales team and ensuring effective sales operations. They establish sales targets, provide guidance to the team, and monitor their performance. This role requires strong communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to analyse market trends and develop innovative sales strategies. The role is based full time at our property at Brands Hatch, Longfield, Kent and includes cross selling opportunities for our partner hotels in Heathrow & Colchester.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve hotel revenue and occupancy goals
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients and ensure compliance with terms
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to stay competitive
- Lead and motivate the sales team, providing guidance, training, and feedback
- Prepare sales reports and forecasts, analysing data to identify areas for improvement
- Undertake field research to identify opportunities within the market for future business
- Visit client’s offices to manage relationships and promote hotel services / amenities
- Attend industry events and networking opportunities to generate leads and build connections
Salary: £35-40k based on experience, 40 hour contract
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferable
- Proven experience in hotel sales or a related sales role
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to analyse market trends and develop effective sales strategies
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet sales targets
