As our next Kitchen Team Member you will:

  • Prepare and present menu items showing variety and flair, within the cost margins specified by the hotel.
  • Manage stock rotation, control procedures, and order necessary foods according to proposed business demands.
  • Liaise with Restaurant employees regarding menu availability, additions, and relevant changes.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate the work of kitchen staff in food preparation and production, providing guidance and ensuring adherence to food safety and quality standards.
  • Monitor team performance, provide constructive feedback, and support the professional development of kitchen staff members.
  • Maintain all working areas, equipment, and facilities to the highest standards, reporting any issues to management and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Your experience and skills include:

  • Proven supervisory or team leadership experience in a professional kitchen environment
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and health and safety regulations
  • Proficiency in food preparation techniques and menu planning
  • Demonstrated ability to manage stock control, inventory, and cost margins effectively
  • Communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills with the ability to mentor kitchen staff and maintain attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment whilst leading by example and maintaining quality standards
