The hotel has 151 Bedrooms and five conference rooms that can accommodate up to 175 guests, ideal for meetings, conferences and celebrations. Job Description
- Handle all event enquiries received via email or phone during the shift, ensuring timely communication and providing replies or confirmations within a reasonable timeframe.
- Proactively seek opportunities to increase hotel revenue by upselling food & beverage services and room bookings.
- Prepare detailed function sheets for all events, including any amendments, and ensure all updates are promptly shared with the relevant department heads.
- Effectively manage and work within allocated budgets, ensuring all events remain profitable.
- Ensure timely input and accurate management of reservations and data for all group enquiries and bookings
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with other departments regarding special requests, booking updates, or any other reservation-related matters.
- Ensure that Accor brand standards and company procedures are consistently implemented and regularly updated.
- Monitor and implement hotel security and safety procedures related to events and group activities.
- Deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring all guests and clients have a memorable experience
Qualifications
- Previous experience in event coordination, sales, or hotel operations (preferred but not essential)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proactive approach with a positive and customer-focused attitude
- Good understanding of budgets and revenue management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); knowledge of hotel booking systems is a plus
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and evenings if required
- Commitment to delivering exceptional service and guest satisfaction
