Job Description

Our mission at Novotel Cambridge North is to create memorable moments for our guests, by connecting hearts from arrival to farewell. Make the link with the different department of the hotel to ensure a wonderful guest experience. Are a passionate individual, dedicated to continuously improving the quality of the hotel's services.

Main responsibilities:

  • Daily reservation checks from all platforms (Accor, Booking.com, Expedia, FITs, etc.)
  • Ensure all back-ups, comments, payment are set accordingly
  • Daily check of OTAs commissions
  • Weekly submission on Fastcom
  • Update of various trackers on a daily basis (such as No Show, CXL, BackYou, etc)
  • Manage reservations and bookings enquiries via telephone, email and face to face
  • Be an expert on the business bedrooms and events in order to deal with initial enquiries in a confident manner
  • Support with group bookings through the whole process and liaise with other departments when required
  • Be the first point of call for all client enquiries regarding accommodation and meetings and events
  • Provide outstanding administrative skills to coordinate events, which will include corporate bookings, private functions and weddings
  • Arrange and conduct hotel show around to promote the sale of accommodation and/or meeting space
  • Build rapport with our key clients in order to ascertain their requirements and identify further opportunities for future business
  • Provide details function plans to hotel operations teams to ensure the clients requirements are always supported and catered for
  • Maintain the accuracy of the in-house reservations system
  • Reply to all booking enquiries that are received via telephone, email, venue directly or via RFP within a strict deadline to secure bookings
  • Opera cloud knowledge preferable
  • Plan, coordinate and execute group reservations, conferences, meetings and events, ensuring a seamless experience for our clients
  • Liaise with clients to understand their event requirements and provide tailored solutions
  • Coordinate with internal departments, including Food & Beverage, Front Office, Maintenance and Housekeeping, to ensure all event aspects are aligned
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the event planning process and on the day of the event
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and improve future events
  • Available to work week and weekend days, in both early and late shifts (Mon to Sat, 8am to 7pm)
