The predicted salary is between 10 - 15 Β£ per hour.

Are curious about food and always willing to try new combinations and flavours. Assist in the preparation of the dishes in a timely fashion and agreed standards. Ensure the availability of mise-en-place as required. Observe excellent food hygiene practice through the entire food chain from storage through to preparation and service. Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.

Contributes to guest satisfaction by:

  • Preparing hot and/or cold dishes in line with the supervisors' instructions
  • Helping deliver the dishes
  • Respecting the food health and safety standards and procedures
  • Participating in managing raw materials effectively
  • Creating and presenting the dishes in line with cooking instructions and the supervisors' instructions
  • Adapting work to fluctuations in volume of guests to special events and particular guests
  • Helping receive deliveries and tidying food items according to storage guidelines
  • Being responsible for the high standard of the dishes prepared
  • Helping keep equipment used in good condition
  • Cleansing and tidying the workplace following the supervisors' instructions
  • Following the cooking instructions and preparation processes to the letter
  • Avoiding wasting food items
  • Helping with inventories
  • Managing stocks of equipment by avoiding breakages

Qualifications:

  • Vocational certificate or diploma in professional cuisine
