Transformation Practice
With increasing complexity in the business environment, CFOs of private‑equity backed companies require strategic insights. Finance organisations are no longer simply result reporters; they provide forward‑looking data to support business decisions. Our Transformation Practice delivers strategic advice to PE portfolio companies on profitability improvements, finance process optimisation, liquidity enhancements and digital transformation transactions. This role will be based in our London office. Ideal candidates are local to London and can work remotely 1–2 days a week.
What You’ll Do
- Work closely with team members to serve clients within the office of the CFO of private‑equity portfolio companies, focusing on finance strategy and process improvements.
- Lead capability and maturity assessments, operating model design, technology optimisation, and design of order‑to‑cash, procure‑to‑pay, record‑to‑report and FP&A processes.
- Assess and recommend change‑management processes, drive initiatives to increase effectiveness, reduce costs and improve profit/shareholder value.
- Develop and implement KPI dashboards and tracking tools.
- Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, keeping projects on track, managing client expectations, and performing course corrections when necessary.
- Build relationships with C‑suite personnel at portfolio companies and representatives from private‑equity sponsors.
- Travel extensively across Europe as required.
- Assist in growing the firm by identifying and driving business development activities and internal initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 12+ years of professional experience in a client‑serving role at a top‑tier accounting or financial advisory firm, and/or senior private‑industry experience.
- Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously, handling client/sponsor and internal team dynamics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (MBA preferred).
- Strong knowledge of strategic finance best practices and financial business processes (order‑to‑cash, procure‑to‑pay, record‑to‑report, FP&A).
- Extensive expertise in designing and implementing strategies, processes and technology to increase effectiveness, reduce costs and improve value.
- Experience with finance automation, technology deployment, financial and operational assessments, and strategic finance transformations.
- Experience working with private equity and understanding its consulting environment.
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Strong client service mindset.
