Role Overview
The Commercial Excellence Director will support the execution of our commercial and business development priorities in and across Europe. Working closely with the London Office Leader, Practice Leaders, and the broader Commercial team, this role will help strengthen our business development processes, improve pipeline visibility, and support relationship management within the Private Equity ecosystem. This is a highly collaborative, execution‑oriented role focused on enabling growth through strong coordination, analytics, and hands‑on business development support.
What You’ll Do
- Business Development Support & Execution
- Support Office Leadership in advancing active business development opportunities and alliances.
- Help prepare overview materials to enable pitch decks, proposals, and meeting briefs.
- Coordinate follow‑ups, track outreach activity, and ensure momentum on key pursuits.
- Assist in managing relationships with private equity firms and portfolio companies, including helping prepare for meetings and events.
- CRM, Reporting & Pipeline Management
- Maintain and ensure data quality in DealCloud (CRM), including accurate pipeline tracking and account information.
- Monitor BD activity and support regular reporting on pipeline status and performance.
- Partner with Finance and Data & Analytics to compile recurring reports for leadership.
- Identify data gaps and support improvements in tracking and reporting processes.
- Commercial Process & Enablement
- Support the rollout and adoption of BD tools, templates, and processes across the London office.
- Work with Marketing to update collateral and ensure materials reflect current messaging.
- Identify opportunities to streamline commercial workflows and improve efficiency.
- Support coordination of BD training sessions and enablement initiatives.
- Market & Relationship Coordination
- Support attendance and preparation for key private equity events and community engagements.
- Help track key sponsor relationships and maintain organized coverage plans.
- Gather market feedback and share insights with the Commercial Excellence and Office Leadership teams.
- Work in close partnership with US marketing team on overall strategy, including approach to conferences, roundtables, and other industry events.
- Commercial Operations Support
- Serve as a point of contact for day‑to‑day BD process questions.
- Ensure documentation and process consistency across pursuits and account management.
- Help triage and coordinate BD‑related requests within the London office.
You Have
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or graduate degree preferred.
- 7+ years of commercial or business development leadership in a professional services or PE‑related environment.
- Genuine interest in establishing and activating a network within the London and broader Europe Private Equity and portfolio company community.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to translate opportunity into measurable market growth.
