We are currently recruiting for a skilled and motivated Vehicle Technician to join a successful and expanding automotive group in Huddersfield. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced technician looking to work in a modern workshop environment with strong earning potential and ongoing technical development. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality servicing, repairs, diagnostics, and vehicle preparation work across a range of manufacturers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine servicing and maintenance
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
  • Complete vehicle health checks (VHCs)
  • Carry out vehicle preparation work to a high standard
  • MOT testing (if qualified)
  • Maintain accurate job records and documentation
  • Follow all health & safety procedures

Candidate Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 / IMI Level 3 / City & Guilds qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Experience within the motor trade (2+ years preferred)
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative
  • A proactive and reliable approach

Desirable (but not essential)

  • MOT Tester licence
  • Main dealer or franchised dealership experience
  • Experience with electronic VHC systems
  • Knowledge of hybrid and modern vehicle technologies
