Our client, an express logistic company, is seeking HGV Drivers class 1 & 2 to join their team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to various destinations across regional, national, and international areas. This role requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to customer service and safety standards.
Role: HGV Drivers class 1 & 2
Hours: Mon to Fri from either 7am to 4pm or 8am to 5pm
Location: Thetford
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive HGV vehicles (Class 1 and/or 2) in compliance with traffic and company regulations.
- Conduct pre and post-vehicle checks in accordance with company policies.
- Safely load, transport, and unload goods.
- Ensure timely deliveries to clients/customers as per schedule.
- Complete delivery paperwork, logbooks, and daily driver reports accurately.
- Maintain regular communication with the transport office for updates and routing.
- Adhere to tachograph and working time regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service and represent the company in a professional manner.
- Report any incidents, defects, or delays promptly.
Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) and/or Class 2 (C) Licence.
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Proven experience as an HGV driver (Class 1 and/or 2).
- Strong knowledge of UK road networks and driving regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- A clean driving record (preferred).
