We are seeking to appoint numerous innovative and enthusiastic SEN Learning Mentors to support Lead SEN Learning Mentors, Associate SENDCO and the SENCO with the delivery of curriculum provision and learning support for targeted pupils at risk of significant underachievement and to support individuals with enhanced needs.
In this varied role applicants will be required to demonstrate flexibility, have some experience of working with vulnerable/challenged/challenging children and young people and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and pupils alike. The role will see the successful applicants providing learning support programmes and interventions, including providing support to pupils with numeracy and literacy in one to one and small group settings. We are flexible in our approach and are looking for applicants with fresh ideas for targeted and meaningful interventions.
Positions:
- SEN Learning Mentor - Full Time, 32.5 Hours Per Week, working Monday to Friday 8.15am to 3.15pm, £19,925 to £21,522 per annum (actual salary), Permanent.
- SEN Learning Mentor - Part Time, 19.5 Hours Per Week, working 8.15am to 3.15pm 3 days a week (days to be discussed at interview), £11,955 to £12,913 per annum (actual salary), Permanent.
- SEN 1:1 Learning Mentor - Full Time, 32.5 Hours Per Week, working Monday to Friday 8.15am to 3.15pm, £19,925 to £21,522 per annum, Temporary. This position is temporary to support a pupil on a 1:1 basis for the duration of time they remain a pupil at Ossett Academy and continues to require support.
All positions include a 30-minute unpaid lunch break per day. Candidates are welcome to apply for either or both positions. Please indicate to which position you are applying for within your application form.
