The Product Launch Manager is responsible for the end-to-end planning, coordination, and delivery of product launches across generic and specialty pharmaceutical brands within the EMENA region. Acting as a senior, experienced individual contributor, the role ensures that product launches are delivered on time, on budget, and in line with commercial strategy, while navigating complex cross‑functional and cross‑market requirements. The role does not include direct line management responsibility but requires strong leadership through influence, matrix working, and stakeholder engagement.
- Lead the end-to-end launch management of generic and specialty products, ensuring delivery in line with approved commercial plans and timelines.
- Develop and maintain robust launch plans, tracking milestones, risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.
- Ensure all launches follow a consistent, compliant, and well‑governed launch process aligned with regulatory, quality, supply chain, and commercial requirements.
- Challenge assumptions and timelines to accelerate launches where feasible without compromising quality or compliance.
- Act as the central coordination point across Regulatory, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance, Medical, and Commercial functions.
- Drive on‑time milestone delivery through proactive engagement, escalation, and issue resolution across matrix teams.
- Coordinate and lead key cross‑functional launch meetings, ensuring clear actions, accountability, and timely escalation where required.
- Partner with supply chain and technical teams to ensure availability of required technical, packaging, and supply information.
- Feed launch timelines, assumptions, and consolidated forecasts into capacity planning, financial planning, and commercial planning processes.
The Person
- Significant project or product launch management experience, ideally within pharmaceuticals or healthcare.
- Strong experience across generic and/or specialty product launches (biosimilars beneficial but not essential).
- Proven ability to work effectively in international, cross‑cultural matrix organisations.
- Working knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems.
- Advanced IT skills, including MS Excel and Word, with the ability to analyse and manipulate data.
- Degree in Science or Engineering (desirable).
