Role Details
- Role: Full-time, permanent
- Location: Fawdon, Newcastle
- Shift: 6am - 2.15pm, 2pm - 10.15pm on weekly rotation
- Salary: Competitive plus shift allowance plus bonus plus benefits
The Role
- Day to day reporting to the Technical Operator / Team Leader, producing and packing to world class pharmaceutical standards.
- Producing a range of pharmaceutical products to defined specification in accordance with legal, GMP and site safety practices.
- Meeting personal and line standards with regard to behaviours, performance and productivity in accordance with site and corporate safety/GMP standards.
- Ensuring the appropriate quality and documentation controls are completed in line with Company standards.
- Inspecting clearance and cleaning to the required standard.
- Providing a proactive approach to maintenance engineering and scheduling structure.
- Promoting and taking ownership of relevant CI activity in designated area of control.
- Ensuring compliance to all site and operational safety policies to maintain safe working practices and having up to date knowledge of regulatory, legal and HSE requirements.
- Operating manufacturing and packing lines/processes.
- Preparing area with effective use of time and resources to maximise production efficiency in line with cGMP compliance.
- Being responsible for the taking and sign off of BMR and BPR requirements for files samples.
- Executing and checking of BMR and BPR ensuring cGMP standards are met.
- Handling line handovers and sign off ensuring cGMP standards are adhered to.
- Making adjustments during the production run to ensure OEE and productivity targets are met and understanding and complying with escalation procedures.
- Conducting line clearance checks and completing line log books.
- Understanding and reporting KPI indicators for the relevant area.
- Participating in all training activity as required including cross-training of colleagues.
- Having detailed knowledge of own functional area, basic technical expertise and specialist skills, providing advice and support to others in own area.
- Troubleshooting basic problems and liaising within own and other departments to resolve issues successfully.
- Supporting continuous improvement process and ensuring successful implementation of agreed changes.
- Supporting Company and external audits, conducting risk assessments and working to ensure compliance across the site.
- Having up to date knowledge of regulatory, legal and HSE requirements relevant to the function.
- Promoting teamwork, motivating, coaching and supporting others.
- Ensuring H&S is followed at all times.
- Being assigned to tasks requiring a reasonable level of competence and skill where appropriate completion will result in effective and safe operations on site.
