The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
This role will be based ON SITE 5 days per week.
The Role:
- Responsible for all data privacy and compliance systems matters within Accord EMENA.
- Support the business in a broad range of corporate and commercial legal matters affecting the companies and business areas of the Accord Group.
- Primary responsibility for the Accord Group’s data privacy matters across the EMENA region.
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide variety of complex and non-complex commercial agreements (particularly license and supply agreements, supply and contract manufacturing agreements, services agreements, termination agreements, term sheets, CDAs and amendments thereof).
- Assist business in managing disputes with third parties (including liaising with external counsel as required).
- Liaising between the affiliates of the Accord Group and the external corporate legal advisors with regards to secretarial services.
- Participating in the design and improvement of new or existing templates of the most commonly used agreements within the Accord Group, as well as internal organizational policies of the legal department.
Data Privacy:
- Perform the role of Accord EMENA Data Privacy Officer (DPO) and all responsibilities associated with that role, including: (i) lead the compilation of the EMENA Processing Activities Register(s) (PARs); (ii) train and keep awareness of data privacy requirements within the organization; (iii) support with the evaluation and response process in the event of a Subject Access Request (SAR); (iv) support interaction with data privacy authorities; (v) oversee the process to review any data breaches and ensure that these are managed appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Establishing and maintaining appropriate Data Processing Agreements and consent documentation to support the Accord Group’s data processing activities.
- Act as the key point of contact for privacy matters (including ability to provide expert advice to different functions of the organization such as HR, Compliance, Commercial, Marketing, etc).
The Person:
- Degree in Law.
- Proven years of experience as a lawyer.
- Substantial experience in GDPR matters.
- DPO experience.
- Exposure to multi-national environment.
- Additional post-graduate studies in commercial law, competition law or life-sciences law.
Please note that this role will require travel to other Accord sites across Europe with some overnight stays.
