Are you ready to design the future of travel? Accor’s Design & Technical Services (D&TS) team is searching for a talented, highly motivated, and creative Intern to join our Northern Europe Headquarters in London. In this role, you will work directly with our VP and Design Director for Western & Southern Europe. This unique internship offers a true 360-degree view of hospitality design. You won’t just be looking at mood boards; you will learn how Premium, Midscale and Economy hotel brands (from Pullman, to Novotel, Tribe and Ibis) bridge the gap between creative interior design and complex, real-world technical execution. Fully integrated into our dynamic regional team, you will receive direct mentorship from the VP and Design Director, and have opportunities to learn from other teams, such as Development, Brand and Operations, and broaden your industry network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Creative Support: Work closely with the Design Director to review and interpret design proposals. Assist in creating design narratives, mood boards, and space-planning reviews.
- Active Project Involvement: Participate in design meetings, review proposals. Assist in compiling professional reports and progress updates.
- Project Governance & Coordination: Support the department's day-to-day operations by coordinating design workshops, scheduling supplier presentations, and taking minutes in key alignment meetings.
- Consultant Network Management: Research and maintain our regional database of world-class third-party interior designers, architects, and technical consultants.
- Supplier, Materials & Sustainability Research: Help discover, evaluate, and source new, innovative FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) suppliers, keeping a strong eye on sustainability.
- Industry Immersion & Travel: Attend key design industry events and exhibitions throughout the year.
Qualifications:
- A current student or recent graduate holding a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in interior design, Architecture, or a closely related creative field.
- Strong foundational skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, or SketchUp.
- Comfortable and experienced in leveraging AI tools for creative design tasks, such as generating design narratives, concept ideation, and image editing.
- Professional fluency in written and spoken English. Ability in another European language (such as French, German, Spanish, or Greek) is highly desirable.
- A previous internship or work experience within a design studio or architectural practice is beneficial but not mandatory.
- A positive "can-do" attitude, exceptional attention to detail, strong organization skills, and a genuine passion for hospitality, travel, and design.
- You must possess the independent right to work in the UK.
- Ready to begin full-time employment straight away.
