Job Description:
As Sous Chef, you will report to the Head Chef and ensure seamless kitchen operations, integrating with the front‑of‑house team for smooth service. You will deputise in the absence of the Head Chef, working straight shifts with flexibility to cover business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that every dish is prepared and executed to the highest standards.
- Oversee food ordering to guarantee full menu availability and minimise wastage.
- Maintain daily diligence with HACCP procedures.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, exceeding external audit requirements.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to uphold high food standards.
Qualifications:
- Level 2 or 3 Food Safety qualification.
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior CDP in a busy kitchen environment, ideally hotel‑based.
- Strong culinary skills and a passion for quality.
- Leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to guide a small kitchen team.
