We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Pool Technician to join our team in Kooddoo, Maldives. As a Pool Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and operating swimming pools, spas, and associated equipment in our tropical island resort. Your role is crucial in ensuring water quality, safety, and cleanliness meet all health and safety standards while providing an exceptional experience for our guests.
- Conduct daily inspections of pools, spas, and surrounding areas to ensure cleanliness, functionality, and safety.
- Monitor and maintain pool water chemistry by testing and balancing pH, chlorine, and other chemical levels in accordance with health regulations.
- Perform regular cleaning of pools, spas, filters, and pool decks, including vacuuming, skimming, and brushing.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, chlorinators, and dosing systems.
- Keep accurate records of water quality tests, maintenance activities, and chemical usage.
- Respond promptly to guest or management requests related to pool areas and ensure timely resolution.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain compliance with local health codes and resort standards.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Housekeeping departments for any concerns related to pool area maintenance or cleanliness.
- Adapt to working in a tropical island environment and various weather conditions.
Qualifications:
- Technical Diploma in electrical or ITI is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as an electrician required. Previous experience in the electrical and electronics will be considered an added advantage.
- Comprehensive knowledge of pool equipment, water chemistry, and sanitation procedures.
- Proficiency in performing water quality tests and maintaining proper chemical balance.
- Strong skills in pool maintenance tasks, including vacuuming, skimming, and brushing.
- Basic troubleshooting and repair skills for pool equipment.
- Understanding of health and safety standards for swimming pools.
- Physical fitness to perform manual labor and ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Basic computer skills for maintaining accurate records.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work in a tropical island environment.
