Job Description
Due to the hotels increase in business we are now looking for someone else to join our Night Team in Ipswich, United Kingdom. As a Night Auditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel during the night shift, managing front desk duties, performing financial reconciliations, and providing exceptional guest services.
- Conduct nightly audits of financial transactions and ensure accuracy in reporting
- Manage front desk operations, including check-ins and check-outs
- Provide outstanding guest services by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area and hotel public spaces
- Prepare reports for management detailing occupancy rates, revenue, and other key metrics
- Handle phone calls professionally and courteously, ensuring a positive experience for callers
- Assist with administrative tasks as required during the night shift
- Ensure the security and safety of guests and hotel property during overnight hours
- Collaborate with other departments to address any guest concerns or maintenance issues
- Stay up-to-date with hotel policies, promotions, and local area information to assist guests effectively
- 32 to 40 hours on a zero hour contract

Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Proficiency in financial reconciliation and basic accounting principles
- Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of efficiency during night shifts
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in hotel management software
- Flexibility to work overnight hours, weekends, and holidays as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate\βs degree in hospitality management is a plus
- Previous hotel experience is helpful but not essential
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions independently
- Professional demeanor and a positive attitude
- The use of Opera cloud would be useful
