Your purpose will be to exceed guest expectations on a day-to-day basis within our Florist department, assisting with daily tasks in the retail shop, workroom, online orders, and guest communication.
You will be accountable for:
- Ensuring the flower shop and department meet the hotel brand & 5-star luxury standards.
- Providing professional service for all guest flower requests.
- Taking ownership of any guest request encountered to completion.
- Preparing all guest order requests as a priority and delivering them to guest rooms.
- Maintaining display stands to standard daily, including pricing in the flower shop.
- Assisting with guest orders as direct contact in a polite and helpful manner.
- Ensuring guests are charged through our POS system.
- Updating guest requests with trace, alert, and preference on profile.
- Being passionate, creative, and encouraging upsell and revenue opportunities.
- Maintaining, organising, and monitoring stock levels.
- Assisting the Savoy Flowers Team with ad hoc duties as required, especially at peak times.
- Working in a clean and tidy manner, clearing away items no longer in use.
- Keeping floors clean and dry to avoid slips or falls.
- Maintaining and cleaning retail areas in the shop.
- Building amicable and co-operative working relations with other departments.
- Complying with all Food Hygiene and Safety legislation.
- Acting in accordance with fire, health and safety regulations.
- Carrying out additional tasks as instructed by the leadership team.
- Adhering to all Savoy policies and procedures.
- Being an active colleague of the Savoy team in our mission of ‘Turning Moments into Memories’ for our guests.
Qualifications:
- 1 year experience in Luxury London Retail or Hospitality Industry.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written & verbal.
- A confident & dynamic speaker, able to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization.
- Enthusiastic and positive personality with the ability to build trusting relationships.
- Proven organizational skills, able to set and meet deadlines with quality results.
- Applicable job-related skills as per Accountable Duties.
