Your purpose will be: The Security Manager will look after the security, safety and well-being of all guests and colleagues at Fairmont Cheshire, The Mere making sure they cause no harm to themselves and others due to unsafe conditions or unsafe acts.
Job Description:
- Perform duties according to the Duty Roster prepared by the Director of Security.
- The Security Officer may be deployed to any of the following Duty Posts: Security Control Room Duty; Lobby Duty; Loading Bay; Patrolling or Observation Duty; Back of House; VIP Parking; Or at any position where operations in Security field will benefit.
- Ensure that all security systems function smoothly. Initiate immediate corrective action when fault is detected.
- Assist Management, employees and guests in every way that is consistent with the protection and prevention objectives.
- Coordinate with various departments and government agencies on routine matters and during emergency.
- Monitor back of house areas with particular attention to unauthorized entry and exit points.
- Maintain records in respective Log Books for future reference.
- Keep Manager or Crisis Management Team informed on the latest development of situation in a crisis.
- Conduct inventory on keys, passes, walkie-talkies, pagers and all other accountable stock.
- Ensure the cleanliness of Hotel Security Room and the surrounding areas.
Please note that we believe in flexibility and multi-skilling, and you may be asked to do different tasks from time to time to enable us to meet the needs of our guests and colleagues.
Qualifications:
- SIA CCTV Operator Licence (required).
- SIA Security Guarding or Door Supervisor Licence, depending on role requirements.
- CPR certification (required or obtained on appointment).
- First Aid certification (preferred).
- Conflict-management training (preferred).
- Basic Fire Safety training (preferred).
- High school/secondary education (preferred).
- Clean criminal record (required for SIA licensing).
- 1–2 years of experience in security or CCTV monitoring (preferred).
