We are seeking a talented and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our culinary team in Baghdad, Iraq. As the second-in-command in our kitchen, you will work closely with the Executive Chef to ensure the highest standards of food quality, kitchen efficiency, and team performance.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop innovative menus, recipes, and culinary concepts.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, quality control, and inventory management.
- Assign specific duties to kitchen staff and provide clear instructions and guidance.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards, hygiene regulations, and quality control measures.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper functioning of kitchen equipment.
- Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff to enhance their skills and promote a positive work environment.
- Assist in managing food costs, reducing waste, and optimizing kitchen efficiency.
- Conduct regular taste tests and quality checks on prepared dishes.
- Participate in menu planning, pricing, and cost control initiatives.
- Step in for the Executive Chef when necessary, assuming full kitchen leadership responsibilities.
- Contribute to the development of new recipes and culinary techniques to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
- Ensure excellent communication between kitchen and front-of-house staff to maintain smooth service operations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar Executive Sous Chef role or equivalent position.
