Accor is seeking an experienced and dynamic Recreation Manager to lead the spa and gym operations at Mövenpick Hotel in Dubai. In this full-time leadership role, you'll oversee all recreation activities, manage membership programs, train and inspire your team, and ensure that guest wellness experiences exceed expectations. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of operational expertise, sales focus, and people leadership, delivering memorable moments through every guest interaction.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the recreation facilities including spa, gym, and wellness services.
- Plan and promote fitness classes, wellness events, and membership campaigns in collaboration with marketing.
- Coordinate spa and gym purchasing with finance, adhering to operational budgets and forecasts.
- Recruit, onboard and train recreation team members, maintaining high performance and service standards.
- Lead daily briefings, monthly staff meetings and performance reviews to align with service goals.
- Monitor departmental payroll, shift rosters and ensure optimal resource allocation.
- Promote a sales-oriented environment and actively support achievement of membership targets.
- Review guest feedback, address concerns, and implement enhancements to improve satisfaction.
- Deliver personal training sessions and expert guidance as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and hygiene standards, including first-aid preparedness.
- Maintain clean, fully stocked recreation areas in collaboration with housekeeping.
- Conduct competitor analysis and recommend service or pricing improvements.
- Maintain up-to-date records of membership, payments, training logs and financial performance.
- Prepare accurate financial reports and assist in budget planning with finance and operations teams.
Ideal Profile
- Proven leadership experience in recreation, wellness or spa management.
- Prior experience as a Spa Supervisor or similar leadership role in hospitality.
- CPR and First Aid certification highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead teams and engage with guests.
- High attention to detail and passion for service excellence.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet wellness, financial and service goals.
- Familiarity with gym membership systems and training methodologies.
- A sales mindset with an ability to inspire team performance and guest satisfaction.
