Location: 28 Seaport Boulevard, Launceston, Tasmania, Australia

Peppers Seaport Hotel is situated just 5 minutes from Launceston\’s city center, within the vibrant dockside precinct. The hotel offers a variety of studio rooms and apartment-style suites with balconies, overlooking the seaport marina or the historic township. Guests can enjoy the scenic coastline, local produce, and wines of the renowned Tamar Valley region.

Purpose

As a Guest Service Agent, you will be the friendly face and warm welcome that sets the tone for our guests\’ stay. Your role involves managing guest check-ins and check-outs, delivering exceptional hospitality, and creating memorable experiences.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent hospitality from check-in to check-out, ensuring guests feel valued
  • Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues to ensure smooth operations
  • Handle guest challenges professionally, turning issues into positive resolutions
  • Promote hotel amenities and services with thorough product knowledge
  • Share local recommendations and information about nearby attractions
  • Accurately manage reservations and guest accounts

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in hotel front desk operations is advantageous
  • Strong customer service skills with an innovative approach
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities under pressure
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication
  • Flexible availability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
