About Isfryn: Isfryn is situated in between the village Ystylafera and the town of Ystradgynlais, in the beautiful Swansea valleys. There are 8 people living at Isfryn, six men and two women. Each person has a brain injury, and some have a secondary mental health diagnosis. Isfryn is mostly a calm environment although it can be busy. Staff state it is a rewarding place to work.

We need staff who will support the people here with their personal daily needs and activities. People like to go out into the community to do various things like attending church, the cinema, visit the pub, café and shopping. Transport links are limited on Sundays.

As a Support Worker, you will be involved in the day to day support and routine of the people within the service including:

  • Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
  • Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.
  • Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
  • Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments or administrating medication.
  • Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping.
  • Assisting with personal care as required.
  • Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking.
  • Providing guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support.
