The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 Β£ per year.
This role is responsible for the management of several of our clients' site operatives and ensuring that sales, costing and controlled spending goals are achieved to enable the operating teams to meet customer demand, hit productivity targets and reach expected profit levels. Therefore, strong people management skills and effective leadership skills will be required to ensure that the necessary daily planning and running of the depot is carried out in an efficient manner. This role also requires working closely with our central Operations Team. The post holder for this role will report directly to the Operations Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Effectively manage the performance of several site operatives of varying levels - also managing subcontractors.
- Identify and resolve any issues which may arise.
- Ensure that all operatives have the relevant training certifications prior to commencing site operations.
- Manage the training and development needs of staff and undertake regular one to one meetings with specific team members.
- Set objectives which are appropriate and tailored to the needs of different staff members.
- Ensure that company policies and procedures or any legal requirements are followed and adhered to by all employees and any potential subcontractors.
- Manage the budget of the depot - this includes delivering the profit and loss for the depot, reviewing processes to reduce costs where possible, and ensuring gross profit margins are maintained.
Skills & Experience (Advantageous)
- Prior experience managing site operatives and being a leadership figure.
- Proven success leading a team of staff members.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and show an initiative to be involved when necessary.
- Strong financial knowledge with experience of meeting monetary targets and managing profit margins.
- Experience working with different clients and providing an excellent and professional service.
- Knowledge of health and safety laws and legal requirements within the sector.

Please note that this role will be based fully on site at our clients' depot, the post holder may be required to attend various external sites to hold discussions with customers and clients, as well as attend company meetings when required.
