About Elm House. Driving Licence and access to a car is required. We support adults who have a dual diagnosis of Autism or a mild Learning Disability. Our aim is to promote independence and positive experiences. Staff support residents to manage and accept themselves as autistic individuals with their own strengths and challenges.
Job Details
JOB ROLE: Support Worker
LOCATION: St Neots (PE19)
SALARY: £13.20 – £13.90* per hour
HOURS: 36 per week
Responsibilities
- Prompting service users’ independence while helping them live a fulfilling life.
- Supporting and encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
- Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying service users to routine appointments or administering medication.
- Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills, and shopping.
- Assisting with personal care (depending on the service user).
- Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning and cooking.
Experience within the care sector is not essential as we offer full training; what you need is enthusiasm and commitment to live our company values.
