Package Description

  • JOB ROLE: Support Worker
  • HOURS: Full Time 37.5 Hours
  • LOCATION: St Austell, Cornwall PL25
  • SALARY: £12.60 - £13.30* per hour

Full UK Manual Driving License is Essential. Please note we require a Support Worker over the age of 18 due to a genuine occupational requirement for the people we are supporting, making this position exempt from the gender discrimination rule.

About Our Service

A beautiful complex of 3 properties comprising a converted 4-bedroom barn where 4 ladies live and 2 single occupancy annexes. There is a communal courtyard perfect for social gatherings and BBQs. The property is in a rural location within walking distance of local amenities. 24/7 support with various shifts available. Our specialist Supported Living and Outreach service in St Austell supports people with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health, and Acquired Brain Injuries.

As a Support Worker, you will be involved in the day-to-day support and routines of the people within the service, including:

  • Supporting daily routines and promoting independence.
  • Encouraging development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
  • Maintaining health care needs, including appointments and medication administration.
  • Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills, and shopping.
  • Assisting with personal care as required.
  • Supporting with domestic tasks like cleaning and cooking.
  • Providing guidance and emotional support.

Experience in care is not required as full training, coaching, and development are provided.
