Overview
JOB ROLE: Support Worker
LOCATION: Pen Bryn, Cardiff (CF39)
PAY RATE: £13.45 – £14.05 per hour
HOURS: 35 hours a week
SHIFTS: 08:30-21:00, 10:00-23:00 (then paid sleep 11:00-07:00, 07:00-10:00 work), night shifts 21:00-08:30

About Pen Bryn
Pen Bryn supports seven people with complex Mental Health needs or Learning Disabilities. We support people to develop their own strategies and skills to become as independent as possible. We help individuals work towards the goals they have set, however big or small these may be, assisting them in developing confidence and self-esteem.
To join our team of super Support Workers you don’t need to have superhuman strength or be able to fly. What you do need is the enthusiasm and commitment to live our company values every day to ensure we move mountains to support people to live happy and healthy lives.
Responsibilities
- Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
- Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.
- Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
- Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments or administering medication.
- Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping.
- Assisting with personal care as required.
- Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking.
- Providing guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support.
