Position Overview

Full Time (40 hours per week) Support Worker at Kemble House, Friern Barnet (N11). Salary: £13.20 - £13.90* per hour.

About Kemble House

Supports 15 people with Learning Disabilities and Autism to develop their skills and work towards living the life they want to live. We offer sector leading training and coaching to help our staff level up and further their career through learning new key skills and gaining a variety of excellent qualifications which can lead to a vast number of progression opportunities within the social care sector. Many of our Regional and Service Managers joined us as Support Workers and through ongoing training and coaching they are continuing to move further up the progress ladder.

Responsibilities

  • Prompting service users' independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.
  • Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
  • Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying service users to routine appointments or administering medication.
  • Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping.
  • Assisting with personal care (depending on service user).
  • Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking.

Qualifications & Experience

Experience within the care sector is not essential as we offer full training. What you do need is enthusiasm and commitment to live our company values every day.
