JOB ROLE: Senior Support Worker
LOCATION: Ammanford (SA18)
SALARY: £14.45 – £15.05 per hour
HOURS: 35 per week
SHIFTS: 07:00-19:30PM, 08:30-21:00PM & 21:00-08:30AM

We provide people with the right support, focusing on helping people live life their way—offering the right support at the right time, always tailored to individual needs. We’re all about helping people build confidence, learn new skills, and enjoy greater independence in everyday life. Rose Cottage is tucked away in the quiet village of Gwaun-Cae-Gurwen, right on the edge of the stunning Brecon Beacons National Park. It’s a peaceful, scenic spot—with fresh air, beautiful views, and a real sense of calm. Even though we’re in a rural location, there’s loads nearby—local shops, cafés, sports clubs, a cinema, and more. We often organise trips to Swansea or Cardiff, which are both just about half an hour away.
Responsibilities
Managing a team of Support Workers
Providing high standards of care and support in line with care and support plans
Encouraging good community relationships by promoting a variety of activities
Accurately reporting, recording and maintaining records as required and working to care plans
Liaising with health professionals and their families
Completing supervisions and audits
Ensuring that all duties undertaken by reporting staff are performed to required standards, and that all such staff contribute in a positive manner to provide a happy, efficient and homely atmosphere within the Home.
