About Boston House: Boston House provides slow‑stream neuro rehabilitation for 17 adults who have complex needs following a brain injury. You will work in conjunction with a Neuro‑Therapy Team, assisting the people we support with their ongoing rehabilitation goals.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Promoting independence with the people we support and encouraging them to engage in their rehabilitation journey following their brain injury.
- Supporting people to manage their health‑care needs, including accompanying them to routine appointments, hospital admissions and, when fully trained, administering medication.
- Empowering people to manage budgets, pay bills, plan menus, shop and assist with domestic tasks such as cleaning and cooking in line with their therapy goals set by the therapy team.
- Assisting with personal care.
- Supporting to follow tailored programmes of therapies set by a physiotherapist, speech and language therapist, and occupational therapist.
Qualifications & Experience: Dependent on experience and qualification.
