HOURS: 35 hours per week
Due to continued growth within our EPIC team we are seeking full‑time Support Workers to join our teams across Ty Newydd, Woodside Cottage & Summerhill Avenue, both based in Newport. Our supportive teams help to deliver outstanding care and support to the people we support. We offer sector‑leading training and coaching to help staff level up and further their career by learning new key skills, gaining a variety of excellent qualifications which can lead to a vast number of progression opportunities within the social care sector. Many of our Regional and Service Managers joined us as Support Workers and through ongoing training and coaching they are continuing to move further up the accomplice ladder!
Responsibilities
- Support residents in maintaining and developing independence through daily activities and encouraging personal growth.
- Promote engagement in hobbies, interests, and life skills development, such as budgeting, shopping, and paying bills.
- Assist with healthcare needs, including accompanying residents to medical appointments and supporting with medication administration.
- Provide assistance with personal care (depending on individual needs), including help with daily tasks like bathing and dressing.
- Support with domestic duties, including cleaning and preparing meals to create a comfortable, homely atmosphere.
