We’re thrilled to introduce Summer Hill Avenue, a brand-new residential care home opened in 2025. Located in Newport, Summerhill Lane will provide high-quality accommodation and support for up to 12 adults with Acquired Brain Injuries and Neurological Conditions. We work with families, carers, and healthcare professionals to create tailored support plans that foster independence and well-being, using a person-centered approach that focuses on each individual’s goals and aspirations.

As a Senior Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in establishing a high standard of care, leading a dynamic team to support individuals and their families in daily life. You will oversee day-to-day care delivery, mentor a team of Support Workers, and ensure each individual receives personalized care that helps them live independently and comfortably.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example, delivering hands-on support to residents and ensuring high-quality, tailored care.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of Support Workers, providing guidance as they carry out their duties.
  • Assess and create care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with care standards and regulations, maintaining safety and well-being.
  • Develop and implement activities that support personal development, independence, and emotional well-being.
  • Coordinate care needs, including assisting with healthcare appointments, administering medication, and providing personal care where necessary.
  • Maintain effective communication with residents, families, and healthcare teams to support a collaborative approach to care.
